This holiday season, I was able to celebrate bringing in the New Year at Disney’s Magic Kingdom park. At Magic Kingdom, there is a special New Year’s fireworks show and New Year’s party that happens at 6:30 pm and 11:50 pm on December 30th and 31st. This way everyone can have a chance to experience the amazing show, including those who are younger, those who don’t want to stay awake until midnight, or those that are unable to get a park reservation at Magic Kingdom on New Years Eve as it is an incredibly popular time of year.
Due to how crowded and busy it is, celebrating New Years at Magic Kingdom can make it more difficult to find a great spot for fireworks as guests start to pick their spots for the fireworks viewing a couple hours early. But, it is definitely a one of a kind experience you wouldn’t want to miss! Also, since the park is open one hour after the fireworks, you still have time to enjoy the rides for a little longer.
If you want to avoid the larger crowds, watching the earlier show at 6:30pm or either show the day prior, there are much less people as most will only go to the final show at 11:50pm on New Years Eve.
Another bonus for those with younger children, after 9:00pm, single and double strollers are available free of charge. As well as on special occasions, including New Years, strollers are available for free an hour earlier, starting at 8:00pm!
