Enchanted Extras
Enchanted Extras are a vast variety of programs, offering guests additional opportunities to take part in parties, shows, experiences and fun for an additional cost!
There are two themed miniature golf locations: Fantasia Fairways Miniature Golf, located near Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and Winter Summerland Miniature Golf, located next to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, each having their own unique theme and challenges! There are also four full world-class golf courses for golfers of all experience levels. The 18-hole golf courses include Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, and Disney’s Palm Golf Course, while there is also a family-friendly 9-hole option available at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course. In addition to these, Disney Springs is home to many Enchanted Extras as well! Here, you can watch the jaw-dropping show, Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque Du Soleil & Disney, show off your skills at Splitsville Luxury Lanes bowling alley, or get a breath-taking birds-eye view on Aerophile: the world’s largest hand-painted helium balloon! At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds, you can even try archery with professional guidance!
Water Activities
There are also many Enchanted Extras that take guests into the water! Take a sail on the Disney Lakes while you go out on a pontoon or fishing boat to catch some bass, or ride in a vintage Amphicar on the water in Disney Springs! There are also two themed water parks, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, which guests can cool off at with a swim in the many pools or take advantage of all of the exhilarating water slides! In EPCOT, guests can go scuba diving in a large saltwater aquarium that houses over 2000 sea creatures or have a dolphin encounter in The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavillion, though these two experiences do require an EPCOT park ticket reservation.
Animal Encounters
There are also many Enchanted Extras for those animal lovers! At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds, guests can go horseback riding through woodland trails, potentially passing by ducks, armadillos, deer, rabbit, and turkeys! Guests can also take a horse drawn carriage ride along scenic paths and trails at this resort, as well as Disney’s Port Orleans Resort! After-dark, take a safari through the savannahs of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge using night vision technology to see the animals of Africa come alive at night!
Additional Enchanted Extra Experiences
Party the night away with special Disney Enchanted Extras events, including pre- and post-firework celebrations, dessert parties, and themed speciality cruises! Adults can relax and unwind with the luxury spa services offered at a variety of locations throughout Walt Disney World Resorts, while children can have their dreams come true as they get transformed into a princess or pirate at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Guests can even book photoshoots with Disney’s professional photographers at the many picturesque locations!
Resort Fun
Guests can even discover so many exciting things just by exploring each of the many resorts! With each resort having their own unique theme, every time you step into a new resort you enter a whole new world! From unique dining, to shops, to activities, resort-hopping is a perfect way to keep the whole family entertained for days without ever needing to enter a park! An excellent way to do this is to take a ride around on the Magic Kingdom monorail, traveling with ease from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which are all deluxe resorts offering exquisite dining and shopping opportunities! The Disney Skyliner is also an excellent way to hop from resort to resort in a fun bird-eye view fashion! Even just enjoying a relaxing pool day and exploring all that is offered at your own resort can be just as exciting as spending a day in a theme park!
From sports, to water activities, to animal encounters and more, there are limitless options for guests to experience without having to enter a Walt Disney World park, so make sure to leave some days open to try out these exhilarating activities the next time you visit!
